While the Scouting Combine may not attract the NFL’s usual large viewership, it is the best way for the teams and their coaches to gauge which players can become part of a team’s future.

Since 1987, the NFL Combine has taken place in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts, and the Indiana Convention Center.
This year, the combine will be held from February 26 through March 1. During this time, players will speak with the media, complete drills, and meet with teams.
Here is a list, sorted by position, of the 319 athletes who were invited to attend this year’s event.

While many viewers tune in to watch the 40-yard dash, the combine combines speed with strength and agility. Here is the list of drills:

The vertical and broad jump measures how explosive players are, and the bench press allows players to show off their strength. The 20-yard shuttle is especially important for both offensive and defensive linemen to show off their footwork.
