Nick Kyrgios has signed up for another exhibition as the seven-time ATP champion will be among the participants of the Las Vegas exho event.
Kyrgios, whose last ATP tournament of the year was the Miami Masters in March, returned to action during the weekend at an exhibition event in Atlanta. Then, the Australian tennis player flew to New York, where he played against Tommy Paul on Monday. The former world No. 13 has two more exhibitions in the rest of the months as he is set to take part in next week's World Tennis League in Dubai before flying to Dubai to meet Aryna Sabalenka on December 28th.
Now, it has also been confirmed that Kyrgios will play at the MGM Slam – a Las Vegas exhibition event – on March 1st, 2026. The event will feature an eight-player lineup – the matches will feature a 10-point tie-break format – and the winner will take home a $1 million prize.
In Las Vegas, the 2022 Wimbledon finalist will be joined by Taylor Fritz, Casper Ruud, Alexander Bublik, Joao Fonseca, Gael Monfils, and Lorenzo Musetti.
Kyrgios playing again after battling a knee issue for months
After struggling for months to get his knee right, even Kyrgios wasn't sure what would happen next. But then, his knee started to "miraculously improve" and he is set to play again.
"Honestly, this has been the first person I've told, I guess, to the media, but the last month for me has been, I don't know what's changed with my knee. Like around that Washington period [in late July], I really didn't have hope to be able to play AO [Australian Open] or just ever get back to that point of where I felt comfortable and competing and really letting my body go," the 30-year-old said in early November.
"But something in the last month, I don't know what it is. I was with my masseuse and physio last night and something really has changed with my knee. Like it's not swelling. It's not feeling bad after a session."
