On3 college football analyst J.D. PicKell couldn’t hold himself back after Nick Saban went on national TV to put his ‘return to coaching’ rumors to an end. The legendary Alabama Crimson Tide head coach made it clear that he has no intentions of coming back.

The 73-year-old legend is aligned with his current role in the ecosystem, where he gets to be a part of the game as a commentator, spokesman, and representative at the highest levels.

The 7x National Champion hilariously debunked the rumors, saying, “I never really had a thought about getting back to coaching until two days ago, Miss Terry said I had to run the sweeper in the entire downstairs. So while I was running the sweeper, the thought occurred to me that when you’re a head coach, your job is a heck of a lot better than this.”

PicKell was thoroughly amused by Saban’s response, and he replied to his tweet with a five-word message for the legendary coach, “He just refuses to miss.”

Even after being thoroughly clear in his thought process, Saban was posed the question whether there was an opportunity that could attract him back to coaching. This time, Saban did not mince any words and gave it straight to the college football world.

He said, “There is no opportunity that I know of right now that would enhance me to go back to coaching. I enjoyed what I’m doing. I did it for fifty years. I loved it. I loved the relationships with players, I loved the competition. But, it’s another station of life now.”

He stated he’s happy spending time with his family, his grandchildren, and being involved in the capacity that he is. The former Crimson Tide coach also commented on the Executive Order by President Donald Trump, saying it was a step in the direction of an education-based model, which the college football world should promote.
