Nikki Bella just gave her most direct answer yet about the rumors swirling around her and NFL star Cooper DeJean—and it’s not quite the love story some fans were hoping for.
In a February 6, 2026 interview with Entertainment Online, Bella was asked about her relationship status with DeJean after weeks of speculation. When the interviewer teased, “Eagles fans out there wanted to know what’s going on,” Nikki cut off the speculation with a playful but firm clarification, as she called Cooper her friend, saying, “You’re talking about my good friend. There you go. Good friend.”
That’s the most definitive statement she’s made since the rumors began, and while it doesn’t entirely erase the chemistry fans have noticed online, it firmly places DeJean in the “friend zone”—at least for now.
The speculation dates back to December 2025, when Nikki was spotted at an Eagles game, posted from DeJean’s locker, and even strutted in his jersey before a key matchup. DeJean fueled things further by commenting with a heart and eagle emoji. But earlier this month, Nikki told paparazzi at the Philadelphia airport that she was “single” and “having fun,” refusing to confirm any romantic involvement.
Meanwhile, DeJean himself downplayed the entire situation during a February 4 appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, saying simply: “I don’t think I have a public relationship.”
So while the internet may still ship the duo, both Nikki and Cooper seem content keeping things playful—and private.
