Lady Vols basketball will host one of the top prospects in the nation in September.

Oliviyah Edwards, who’s ranked No. 2 in the 2026 class, announced July 31 she would take her official visit to Tennessee the weekend of Sept. 12-14. Tennessee football hosts Georgia that weekend.

Edwards posted on July 26 that she plans to commit before November. Tennessee is the first official visit she has announced.

The 6-foot-3 forward would be a significant addition for the Lady Vols, who are losing three of their four forwards to graduation after the 2025-26 season. Edwards would also add to the recruiting momentum Tennessee coach Kim Caldwell and her staff created with their first high school signing class. The Lady Vols’ incoming freshman class was ranked No. 2 in the country.

Edwards is one of the most coveted recruits in the 2026 class. She can shoot from deep and has been able to dunk since seventh grade.

Edwards even got a shoutout from Lady Vols legend Candace Parker, who reposted a clip on Instagram of Edwards dunking in an AAU game. Parker also commented on the video of Edwards and said, “I personally see big Tennessee orange in her future.”

Edwards said in an interview with Overtime Select that Parker reached out and texted her directly. Edwards signed with Adidas in May, and Parker is the president of Adidas women’s basketball.
