It looks for the majority of the game that Notre Dame would fall to host TCU, but the Irish roared back, sent the game into overtime and gutted out an 87-85 victory.
Down nine-points at halftime, Notre Dame relied on two freshman to help make the comeback. Starting forward Jalen Haralson scored 20-points on the night with the biggest two sending the game into overtime and guard Cole Certa came off the bend to also score 20 shooting 6-of-12 from three.

The reason why the Irish had to rely on its young players was because star guard Markus Burton left early in the second half with a leg injury. His status is unknown at the moment, but it didn’t look good as he had to be helped off the court by the training staff.
Braeden Shrewsberry and Carson Towt both scored in double-figures, with the big man grabbing 9 rebounds. The win gives Notre Dame back-to-back victories over Power 5 teams with a 7-3 record, and could really give this team some momentum heading into ACC play.
The Burton injury will be one to monitor in the coming days, as he hasn’t been able to stay on the court over the last two seasons. Head coach Micah Shrewsberry did say it was “ankle-related” as reported by Jack Soble, but he was seen on crutches during the post-game celebration.
