On Tuesday morning, Ace Alston, a 5-foot, 11-inch and 175-pound cornerback from Ohio verballed to the Irish over Ohio State, Indiana, USC, LSU, Tennessee, and Missouri. After taking multiple game-day visits this fall, it was clear that his trip to South Bend stood out more than the others for the nation’s No. 115 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite.
Alston is now the No. 8 commit of the 2027 class, although there is a chance that numbers drops by one as quarterback Teddy Jarrard continues to flirt with the idea of reclassifying to the 2026 class. Regardless if that happens, Notre Dame’s impressive recruiting run doesn’t look like it’s stopping anytime soon.
