If you haven’t seen Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr’s face on the television this week, you may have missed the redshirt freshman all over different sets.

Shortly after the College Football Playoff announced its first rankings of the 2025 season, the Irish star was speaking with SportsCenter, as he let them know that the team wasn’t extremely interested in where they placed. Carr said the team was “not too locked in,” as they had other focuses, like the game this weekend against Navy.

The media rounds of him didn’t end there with ESPN, as he was a guest on College Football Live on Wednesday night, making the second day in-a-row he’s been asked questions about Notre Dame and the CFP. Carr was asked about how it feels to be the quarterback for the Irish, and he said that he feels blessed to come into the facilities everyday with some of the best people in college football. Carr also gave a lot of love to teammate Jeremiyah Love, calling him a “gamer” and is excited about what he’ll do this weekend.

To round out his whirlwind last few days, Carr then joined David Pollack on his podcast, the as he went a bit off topic and talked about his new haircut. It was due to being a fan of the “Avitar” anime series, as the lead also has his head shaved.

It’s been quite the last few days for Carr, he was also named a semifinalist for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award, as the hope is that he can regain his focus over the next few days and guide Notre Dame to its seventh straight victory.
