After Notre Dame women’s basketball fell out of the Associated Press top 25 poll last week for the first time since Week 3 of the 2021-22 season, the Irish used two 23-plus-point wins against Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) the week of January 5-11 to get right back into the rankings at No. 23.
The Irish stayed in the NCAA Coaches Poll last week at No. 25, and their ranking improved this time around to No. 22. Notre Dame (12-4, 4-2 ACC) was dominant in South Bend this past week, beating Boston College (4-15, 0-6 ACC) 94-60 and the previously ranked No. 22 North Carolina Tar Heels (13-5, 2-3 ACC) 73-50.

These rankings will immediately be tested in the Irish’s next two games ― a home tilt on ACC Network against No. 10 Louisville (16-3, 6-0 ACC) Thursday, January 15, and a road game on FOX vs. No. 1 UConn (17-0, 8-0 Big East) Monday, January 19.
