Notre Dame’s women’s basketball team was humbled by Michigan this past weekend, and it resulted in a tumble in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll.
The Fighting Irish (3-1) dropped six spots from No. 18 to No. 24 after getting throttled by 39 points against then-No. 14 Michigan in the Shamrock Classic, which was the worst loss in more than two decades for the program.

Meanwhile, the Wolverines (3-0) rocketed all the way up to No. 6 in this week’s poll.
Things don’t get any easier this week for the Irish, as they will host No. 11 USC on Friday night.
It wasn’t all bleak for ND on Monday, though, as star guard Hannah Hidalgo was named once again as the ACC women’s player of the week.
