Ohio State Buckeyes reveal new offensive plan for freshman phenom Bo Jackson originally appeared on The Sporting News
Bo knows making plays.
That much is already clear during the early stages of the freshman season at Ohio State for Lamar “Bo” Jackson.

Against Grambling State in Week 2, Jackson ran nine times for 108 yards. Against Ohio in Week 3, Jackson carried another nine times, this time for 109 yards.
There’ll be intrigue about what he can do against better competition, but Jackson so far looks like he fits right in with the Buckeyes.
OSU head coach Ryan Day isn’t shying away from giving him all he can handle, either.
βIt doesnβt take a veteran coach to recognize talent when you see it, and Bo has talent,” Day told reporters on Tuesday. “… Weβre going to keep bringing him along, and the more he can take, the more weβre going to give him.β

This is the perfect time for Ohio State to incorporate Jackson even more into what they’re doing. It’s a bye for the Buckeyes this week ahead of a trip to Washington on Saturday, Sept. 27 to open Big Ten play.
Jackson missed the opener against Texas, so Buckeyes fans didn’t get to see what he could do against the then-No. 1 team in the country.
The youngster should get plenty of chances to prove himself against the best as the season rolls along.
He’s a local kid, from Cleveland’s Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School, which is also the alma mater of Michigan legend Desmond Howard.

And now he’s wearing Buckeyes scarlet and gray, and he looks ready to take the college football world by storm.
No, he’s not related to Lamar Jackson, or to Bo Jackson, the famous ones. But this Lamar “Bo” Jackson may soon be famous himself.
