Ohio State once again one of the most watched college teams for 2025

You always hear that Ohio State football turns on television sets, and in today’s day and age, streaming devices, and we keep receiving data that proves that point. In this case, the proof of that concept is that the Buckeyes were a part of four of the top ten most-watched college football games during the 2025 season, including the College Football Playoff.

The Game between Ohio State and Michigan seems to always draw the highest audience of any regular-season game, and it did so again as the No. 5 most-watched game at 18.4 million viewers. And then there’s the postseason, including the conference championship games and College Football Playoff contests that have more eyeballs on them.

The Indiana Hoosiers’ story dominated as well, with the two most-watched games involving Indiana’s run through the CFP. The quarterfinal Rose Bowl vs. SEC power Alabama was the second-most-watched game with 23.9 million viewers, with the largest audience (30.1 million) predictably tuning in for IU’s CFP title win over Miami.

Aside from that, though, in addition to the grudge-match vs. Michigan, Ohio State was involved in three more of the top ten most-watched games. The Buckeyes’ loss to Miami in the CFP quarterfinal Cotton Bowl was the third-most-watched (19.0 million), with IU vs. Ohio State in the Big Ten title game coming in at No. 6 (18.3 million), and the opening-season game against Texas coming in as the ninth-most-watched game with 16.6 million viewers.

Here’s a look at the complete top ten. Ohio State and Indiana led with both having four of the top ten.
