Ohio State women top Northwestern in Big Ten opener

Jaloni Cambridge scored 22 points and Kylee Kitts added 18 as the Ohio State women’s basketball team won its Big Ten opener at Northwestern 79-70 on Dec. 7 in Evanston, Illinois.
The Buckeyes (7-1) also got 13 points from T’yana Todd. Kennedy Cambridge had a career-high six assists. Elsa Lemmila recorded a season-high nine rebounds.

Northwestern (6-3) was led by 37 points and eight rebounds from Grace Sullivan.

Ohio State scored the final 11 points of the second quarter to take a 33-2 halftime lead. The Buckeyes’ led 61-47 after three quarters.
