The Oklahoma Sooners are in a good position for one of the best wide receivers in the transfer portal. After hosting Virginia transfer Trell Harris for a visit, Pete Nakos of On3 issued a prediction favoring the Sooners for the dynamic downfield threat.
Harris was the leading receiver for a Virginia Cavaliers offense that averaged 30 points per game in 2025. He recorded 59 receptions for 847 yards and five touchdowns. He had two 100-yard games last season and six games with more than 60 yards receiving. He averaged 14.4 yards per reception and an average depth of target of 11 yards down the field, according to Pro Football Focus.

Per PFF, Harris played 80% of his snaps on the outside and 20% of his snaps in the slot, providing some versatility to the offense. He stands 6-foot-0 and weighs 200 pounds.
In addition to hoping for a return from Isaiah Sategna, the Oklahoma Sooners are looking to add wide receivers in the portal. Harris would be a strong addition to the Sooners’ offense, and they’re also planning to host Texas transfer Parker Livingstone.
