Oklahoma will soon find out if one big-time 2026 offensive lineman is going to roll the dice on Brent Venables and the Sooners originally appeared on A to Z Sports.

There isn’t much more the Oklahoma Sooners have left to do with their 2026 class. They are waiting for Jake Kreul, the edge rusher, to decide between them and Texas. And then they are waiting on wide receiver Davian Groce to decide between OU and Baylor.

Those are the two big ones that everyone is watching. But, there is one guy in the 2026 class who hasn’t committed yet. He’s not predicted to land with the Sooners, but you really never know what could happen.

After that, general manager Jim Nagy and head coach Brent Venables can focus fully on the 2027 cycle. Well, that is after national signing day, which is a ton of craziness in itself.

Oklahoma Sooners to find out if they’ll land 2026 OL Breck Kolojay

Breck Kolojay is another four-star interior offensive lineman that the Oklahoma Sooners are targeting, but this one is in the 2026 class, which they are trying to wrap up at this very moment.

Kolojay is playing at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, after starting high school at Valor Christian in Colorado. And, in the past, the Sooners didn’t always recruit well from IMG, or in other words, the players they got from there didn’t always work out.

At 6’5″ and about 320 pounds, Kolojay has the size to be a good player at the next level. He’s ranked No. 20 among interior linemen and No. 279 overall by 247Sports Composite. He’s deciding between Georgia, Miami, Oklahoma, USC, and Colorado, with a commitment announcement set for August 1, and USC as the favorite.

But that doesn’t mean he won’t choose OU, as we have seen much crazier things happen in this new era of college football.

Kolojay mainly plays right guard, with the ability to dominate in run-blocking and hold up in pass protection, but there may end up being a path where he plays one of the tackle spots, if he continues to grow. His size, strength, and experience at IMG Academy against top competition make him a strong candidate to start early at a Power Four program.

The Sooners could walk away on August 1 with another four-star.
