Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy is listed as probable to play Thursday when the No. 6 Rebels face No. 3 Georgia in the College Football Playoff quarterfinal at the Sugar Bowl.

Lacy injured his shoulder in the first half of Ole Miss’ 41-10 rout over Tulane in a CFP first-round game Dec. 20, creating one of the week’s biggest availability questions. He entered the postseason second nationally with 21 rushing touchdowns and second in the SEC with 1,366 rushing yards, anchoring a Rebels offense that leans heavily on his downhill style.
Lacy was previously held to 31 yards and two touchdowns against Georgia on Oct. 11 in a 43-35 loss in Athens. However, this a much different matchup with bigger circumstances and no home field advantage.
Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss said he expects Lacy to be effective despite the injury. “I think Kewan will have a great game this game,” Chambliss told reporters this week.
Ole Miss tight end Dae’Quan Wright is also probable, while tight end Caleb Odom is questionable and linebacker Raymond Collins is doubtful.

Georgia will again be without starting center Drew Bobo, who is expected to miss the remainder of the CFP. The Bulldogs are also without several defensive contributors, though receiver Colbie Young is probable after returning from a broken leg.
