Lawrence, 25, had started all but one of England’s past 17 matches prior to his injury, dating back to the 2024 Six Nations and had also started every one of his 44 games for Bath since he signed in 2022.
In his absence, Scotland international Chris Harris was signed on a one-year deal in May as injury dispensation.
Coetzee was a key part of Bath’s impact squad last season as they won the Prem, European Challenge Cup and Prem Rugby Cup titles, making 21 appearances in all competitions all from the bench.
