Tatiana Suarez has another tough test in her battle back to a title shot.
MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck and Damon Martin confirmed with sources with knowledge of the matchup that Suarez (11-1) is set to take on Loopy Godinez (14-5) in a strawweight contender matchup at UFC 327, which takes place at Kaseya Center in Miami on April 11. The bout was first reported by Krazy Kev MMA.

For Suarez, this is her second fight since falling short against 115-pound champion Zhang Weili at UFC 312. She rebounded with a unanimous decision win over one-time title challenger Amanda Lemos in September and seeks to regain her No. 1 contender status after once being touted as the future of the division. Injuries have derailed much of Suarez’s hype, with the 35-year-old competing just six times in the past seven years due to various health issues.
Godinez is currently on a two-fight win streak with wins in five of her past seven fights. Most recently, she won a unanimous decision over former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade at UFC 319 in August.
UFC 327 is yet to have a main event announced. A light heavyweight bout between Dominick Reyes and Johnny Walker has also been confirmed to be scheduled for the April 11 show.
