The September 16 episode of WWE NXT is the special Homecoming edition of the show and now the opening for the show has been revealed.
According to Cory Hays of BodySlam.net, Triple H and Shawn Michaels are set to open this week’s episode of NXT Homecoming and set the tone for the entire night, as the show is expected to be a memorable one.
NXT will be taking place at Full Sail University and WWE has confirmed several names for the show, including Bobby Roode, Bianca Belair, Sami Zayn, Finn Balor and William Regal.
This week’s episode of NXT is headlined by Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes teaming up to square off against Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano. Apart from that, Tyler Breeze will challenge Ethan Page for the NXT North American Championship.
The presence of Triple H and Shawn Michaels, along with the return of fan-favorite stars and major matches, shows that NXT Homecoming is set to honor the brand’s history while moving it into the future. Whether you loved the black-and-gold era or are a new viewer, it’s pretty clear you shouldn’t miss this week’s episode of NXT.
