We are still a handful of weeks out before spring football gets going in Eugene, but already, a majority of the new players to the roster, whether it be an incoming freshman or a transfer portal player, are here with the Oregon Ducks, going through offseason training.
One of those players, 5-star true freshman tight end Kendre Harrison, took to social media on Wednesday to reveal the jersey number that he will be wearing with Oregon in 2026. According to Harrison’s Instagram story, he will be filling the Kenyon Sadiq shoes, as far as jersey numbers go, wearing No. 18 as a true freshman.

Talk about big shoes to fill.
Of course, there aren’t expectations for Harrison to come in and be everything that Sadiq was right away. With the former Duck being a projected first-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft and the best tight end in this draft class, it’s unfair to place those expectations on anyone. However, Harrison does come to Oregon as the No. 1 TE in the 2026 recruiting class, standing at 6-foot-7 with an unbelievable catch-radius and playmaking ability.
Throughout Sadiq’s career, we saw him make some spectacular plays while wearing a Duck uniform. Over the next few years, there’s a good chance that we see Harrison make his own mark on the Oregon program as well.

And now it’s clear that he will be doing so in the same number that Sadiq wore.
