It really can’t be overstated how important it was to the Oregon Ducks‘ 2026 season to have quarterback Dante Moore announce his return to Eugene for one more season.
With that one declaration, the Ducks went from a possible rebuilding season to being a national championship contender once again. But Moore won’t have the entire offense on his shoulders as that unit will have elite talent all over the field.

That’s probably why CBS Sports has said Oregon will have one of the top offenses in the country for the 2026 season. They have the Ducks ranked fifth in offense for 2026, behind Texas, Miami, Indiana, and Ohio State.
According to CBS Sports, the Ducks are fortunate to have the quarterback situation that they do. It’s rare to have a school possess such talent at the quarterback spot.
“No program in the country owns a better quarterback situation than the Ducks after Dante Moore’s decision to skip the 2026 NFL Draft and return to school,” CBS Sports writer Brad Crawford said. “Nebraska transfer Dylan Raiola is behind him, along with a couple of guys the coaching staff feels great about in Akili Smith Jr. and Brock Thomas.”
Oregon is lucky enough to have elite talent that can catch the ball, and losing tight end Kenyon Sadiq to the NFL draft is big, but it can be minimized by those already on the roster.

“The biggest loss on offense is tight end Kenyon Sadiq, a projected first-rounder. Jamari Johnson will get the first crack at matching his production at the position,” CBS said. “Dakorien Moore, Jeremiah McClellan, and Evan Stewart return as featured options at wideout. There might be a slight statistical drop off with elite offensive coordinator Will Stein taking over at Kentucky, but Oregon has proved annually under Dan Lanning that this offense is a tough one to contain.”
If those on the offense can stay healthy for the entire season, the Ducks might be even more explosive than it was in 2025, which is a scary proposition for the opposing defense coordinators.
