After a big win last week, the Green Bay Packers have a great chance to keep the momentum going against the Arizona Cardinals — but first they had to make it to Glendale.
The Packers’ flight to Arizona was reportedly delayed by several hours due to mechanical issues with the team plane, per multiple reports. The team’s departure was delayed by over six hours before a different plane was brought in.

The plane, which held players and coaches, finally pushed back from the gate just after 7:00 p.m. CT, six and a half hours after it was supposed to leave, per ESPN. A staff plane, which left shortly after 1 p.m. CT, took off and landed without issue.
The delayed plane appeared to land in Phoenix at around 8:30 local time, more than five hours after it was supposed to arrive.
Green Bay posted a photo of the players arriving at the airport about 2 1/2 hours before the first report about the mechanical issue from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, who at the time reported that the delay was approaching its fifth hour. The team has yet to make any announcements about the delay.
The Packers’ game against the Cardinals is set to take place at 1:25 p.m. PT on Sunday. It is unclear whether the delay will affect the team’s preparation for that game.
