This 17th edition of the Asia Cup is historic, with a record eight teams featuring for the first time. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan have qualified directly for the continental tournament, while three top associate nations, including the UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong, from the 2024 ACC Men’s Premier Cup earned their spots.

The eight teams are split into two groups. Group A has India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman, while Group B includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong. Each team plays the others in their group once. The top two from each group will advance to the Super Four round. The two best teams from the Super Four will battle for the championship on September 28 in Dubai.
