by

Parker Retzlaff will pilot the No. 99 Viking Motorsports Chevrolet in the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. Danny Efland will work with Retzlaff as the crew chief, coming over from Am Racing.

Veteran crew chief Pat Tryson, who led the No. 99 in 2025, will transition into a new role within the organization.

“Parker brings youthful energy, talent, and a hunger to win that aligns perfectly with our Viking spirit,” said team owner Don Sackett in a release from the team. “Danny’s technical expertise and leadership will strengthen our team in the race shop and at the track. Together, they represent the next evolution of Viking Motorsports as we continue to build a program that’s truly Forged to Race.”

After competing full-time with Jordan Anderson Racing in 2023 and 2024, Retzlaff joined Alpha Prime Racing in 2025. He ended the year 22nd in the championship standings.

Retzlaff has 107 starts in the secondary level of NASCAR, earning two poles, four top fives, and 15 top tens.

“Joining Viking Motorsports feels like the perfect fit,” said Retzlaff. “You can feel the passion and drive this team has from top to bottom. The No. 99 Chevy has huge potential, and I’m ready to give everything I’ve got for Don, Danny, and the whole Viking family. We’re going to fight hard every week.”

Viking Motorsports competed with Matt DiBenedetto as its driver before parting ways with just a few races left in the year. DiBenedetto earned the team’s best result at Talladega, finishing fifth.
