AEW has a lot of good people on their payroll, even though some of them don’t appear very often. Full Gear was a special night, and it brought Paul Wight out in front of the cameras.
AEW’s Full Gear 2025 pay-per-view went down at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Paul Wight was in the house, and he didn’t keep his hands to himself.
During the Saturday night Tailgate before Full Gear, Paul Wight came out for commentary. Of course, a talent like him get physical every now and then. This was no exception. This all went down during “Big Boom” AJ and QT Marshall’s match against RPG Vice.
During the tag team match, Rocky Romero made his entrance with his cast when Big Justice appeared behind him and dropped Romero with a Diamond Cutter. Trent attempted to pull Big Justice into the ring, but Paul Wight entered and knocked Trent out. Marshall and Big Boom AJ then executed a Booms-Day Device Blockbuster on Trent, securing the win.
After the match, the babyface team celebrated as the former Big Show stood at ringside and clapped for the winners. This was a nice appearance for Paul Wight, even if it wasn’t officially him getting the win.
We will have to see what the future holds for Paul Wight in AEW. He is apparently having a good time. Only time will tell if he ever returns to WWE, at least to accept a Hall of Fame induction.
