The August 19 episode of NXT in Philly is going to be a loaded show.
WWE’s August 12 episode of NXT built a lot of things for next week’s show. For instance, Trick Williams vs Je’Von Evans is booked for next week’s show in a #1 contender’s match to see who will face Oba Femi at NXT Heatwave. Those two have a lot on the line, but that is only the beginning of what WWE has planned.
Jordynne Grace is cleared for action, and she will take on Blake Monroe next week in Philly. Those two have gone through an interesting storyline over the past few weeks, and Grace really wants to prove herself in this match.
Jasper Troy will take on Ricky Saints in singles action. This will give the LFG Champion a chance to take on the former AEW star.
Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura used to be best friends. Now they are in the midst of a heated rivalry. Their blow-off match may go down next week as they are booked in a Philadelphia Street Fight
Fatal Influence will take on the Elegance Brand from TNA Wrestling. Since a triple threat Knockouts Title match was booked for NXT Heatwave, this match could have some big implications.
A Peace Treaty segment is also scheduled for next week’s show. Ethan Page and Chelsea Green want to stop this feud with Tavion Hughes and Tyra Mae Steele before things get out of hand. All Ego said that he was having someone draw up the paperwork, so we will have to see how that turns out.
We will have to see what they do in Philly to draw attention. WWE loves that city and NXT usually draws a very passionate pro wrestling crowd.
