Four-star wideout Khalil Taylor, one of the top prospects in Penn State’s 2027 recruiting class, made a great impression on his new school on Friday afternoon. He took the first football he touched all the way to the house — a 98-yard score.
Ahead of his junior year, Taylor made the switch from Seton LaSalle to Pine-Richland, a Pennsylvania Class 5A high school. It looks like he got banged up later in the game, but made it over to Beaver Stadium for Penn State’s season-opener against Nevada. The Rams fell to Central Catholic 34-20.

Class of 2026 athlete/safety/quarterback Matt Sieg is off to an electric start to the season at Fort Cherry (McDonald, Pa.). Sieg scored on the ground twice and had an 83-yard pick-six in the win over Our Lady of Sacred Heart.
Sieg is currently considered a four-star recruit by 247Sports and the second-best player in Pennsylvania in his class, behind Notre Dame commit Joey O’Brien.
Four-star quarterback Troy Huhn and his Mission Hills Grizzlies (San Marcos, Ca.) are off to a 2-0 start to the season following a 24-13 win over Oak Ridge. Huhn tossed for two touchdowns and one interception in the contest, but thoroughly displayed his poise and arm talent throughout.

Three-star wide receiver commit Lavar Keys had a shifty punt return in DeMatha’s (Hyattsville, Md.) 45-17 route of Philadelphia’s St. Joe’s Prep. Full stats aren’t available for the game, but Rivals is suggesting he had a good day as a receiver, too.
On a bit of a negative side, Penn State’s star running back commits, Kemon Spell and Messiah Mickens, both suffered injuries this week. Spell did not play in McKeesport’s week two matchup, and Mickens left Harrisburg’s game in the second quarter, later returning to the sideline in street clothes. The severity of both injuries is unkown.
