A “new era” of the PFL is coming in 2026.
That’s according to CEO John Martin, who on Tuesday announced a road map of sorts for the PFL in the coming year. In 2026, the promotion plans to hold 24 total events – 16 globally and eight regional events. While the eight regional events between PFL Africa and PFL MENA will continue to operate as tournaments in an effort to find new talent, the promotion is ditching the tournament format for its regular 16 events.

“We’re stepping away from the tournament format,” Martin said in a video posted on X. “So what does that mean? That means every card is gonna be built around the best fights possible – the biggest fights every card, the fights the fans are asking for and the fights the fighters want. …
“This is a new era in the PFL, the best fighting the best every time.”
While no fights for 2026 were announced, the PFL revealed that its first four events will take place in Dubai (February), Madrid (March), Pittsburgh (March), and Chicago (April).
ESPN and ESPN+ will continue to carry the PFL’s 16 regular events in 2026.
