Pharrell Williams and Voices of Fire to perform on-field at 2025 World Series

by

Pharrell Williams and Voices of Fire will open the 2025 World Series presented by Capital One with a special performance prior to Game One. The 121st Fall Classic between the National League Champion Los Angeles Dodgers and the American League Champion Toronto Blue Jays begins Friday, Oct. 24, at Rogers Centre with LIVE global coverage beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET on FOX, FOX Deportes and ESPN Radio. MLB’s 44 international media partners will also broadcast the performance and player introductions to a worldwide audience in over 200 countries and 16 languages around the globe.

Thirteen-time GRAMMY Award-winning artist, Academy Award-nominated musician and filmmaker, philanthropist and Louis Vuitton menswear Creative Director Pharrell Williams will take the field with Bishop Ezekiel Williams’ group Voices of Fire to welcome fans to the biggest stage in baseball with a synthesized setlist featuring “ARE YOU READY?” and “THE ONE” from their new album OPHANIM, available exclusively at voicesoffire.com. Pharrell worked closely with MLB and Emmy award-winning production company Jesse Collins Entertainment’s Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon and Seth Dudowsky as the executive producers of the show, taking the themes of unity and togetherness in honoring baseball as a global sport.

Voices of Fire will also perform both the U.S. National Anthem and the Canadian National Anthem. To pay homage to the international setting of the World Series, an ensemble comprised of a local Toronto orchestra and additional performers will accompany Voices of Fire during their rendition of the Canadian National Anthem.

MLB’s 2025 Postseason campaign, “October Hits Different,” mirrored the anticipation and excitement of October Baseball. As the theme of the Postseason, Pharrell, Voices of Fire and a 25-piece orchestra filled an empty stadium with a live rendition of “ARE YOU READY?” while season highlights and stars drew a parallel between gameplay and art. The song was the background track that celebrated the most powerful and inspiring moments of competition leading up to the Fall Classic. As the Postseason comes to a dramatic close, fans will have the opportunity to hear the soundtrack to Fall baseball live, as it ushers in the biggest competition yet.

The 2025 World Series presented by Capital One will be televised nationally on FOX and coverage begins each night at 7 p.m. ET; FOX will combine with FOX Deportes, the FOX Sports App and FOX One to cover the Fall Classic. All World Series games telecast on FOX platforms will be available to MLB.TV subscribers who are authenticated subscribers to the applicable network through a participating pay TV provider. ESPN Radio will also provide live national coverage of all 2025 World Series games. MLB Network provides coverage throughout the World Series across the Emmy Award-winning MLB Tonight, the Emmy-nominated MLB Central, MLB Now and Intentional Talk. In Canada, Sportsnet TV and Radio will continue to provide live national coverage of the entire Fall Classic. Univision Radio will continue to provide live Spanish-language audio coverage throughout the series.
