On Monday, former Tennessee head coach Phillip Fulmer was selected for the 2026 Paul “Bear” Bryant Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by the American Heart Association.
He served as Tennessee’s head coach from 1992-2008, winning two SEC championships and one BCS national championship.
Fulmer compiled an 11-5 record versus Alabama as the Vols’ head coach, including a forfeit win in 1993. The Crimson Tide vacated their 2005 win over Tennessee due to NCAA sanctions.
Fulmer (152) has the second most wins in Tennessee program history, second to Robert Neyland (173). He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2012.
