Meet the Blue FCU Football Player of the Week nominees from Week 8:

  • Mason Carter, Poudre QB: The Impalas fought valiantly down at Frederick after leading by 14 at halftime. It may have played out differently if Carter stayed healthy all game, leaving with an injury in the second half after posting four first-half rushing touchdowns

  • Adrian Czyszczon, Windsor RB: The Wizards senior can play physical or hit on big plays as Windsor keeps crushing teams with a blowout at Northridge. Czyszczon had 130 total yards and 3 TDs on just 12 touches, including a 34-yard touchdown reception.

  • Cyle Kisner, Wellington RB: Speaking of blowouts, Wellington had another one, this time against Eaton. The junior running back went off in this one, rushing 17 times for 190 yards and 4 TDs, with two of the scores going for at least 40 yards.

  • Jack McKeon, Fort Collins RB: The Lambkins senior was an absolute workhorse in a thrilling 42-35 city rivalry win over Rocky Mountain. McKeon carried the ball an astounding 54 times for 313 yards and 4 touchdowns to increase his yardage edge as Colorado 5A’s leading rusher.

  • Bron Southworth, Fossil Ridge LB/EDGE: The SaberCats got their first win of the season with a cathartic 42-0 blowout at Prairie View. The senior Southworth led the defensive shutout, making 7 tackles (6 solo) with 3 sacks and a QB hurry in the road victory.
