KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Penn State Altoona men’s basketball guard Kaden Claar was awarded for his academics Thursday when the National Association of Basketball Coaches named him to its 2024-25 Honors Court.
The NABC’s Honors Court recognizes men’s college basketball student-athletes from around the country who achieved success in the classroom. To be eligible, players must be juniors, seniors or graduate students who finished the 2024-25 academic year with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher.

Claar, a kinesiology major and rising senior at Penn State Altoona, started all 28 games during the 2024-25 season for an 18-10 Lions team that reached the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championship game. He averaged 12.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.6 steals per game during the 2024-25 campaign.
