We’ve reached the end of the week with snow coming just around the corner but a red hot game between Illinois and Purdue less than 24 hours away. This week there was just one question in the fan survey as the other one became moot after Purdue’s loss to UCLA this week so I had them cut that one off and just leave us with a Big Ten specific question. So let’s see what everyone thinks about March Madness shall we?
The plurality believes that the Big Ten will get 9 teams into March Madness. You have to assume that includes Purdue, Nebraska, Michigan, Michigan State, and Illinois as near locks. Then, you’ve got Wisconsin, Iowa, UCLA, USC, and Ohio State. That’s 10 right there so one of that group won’t make it. Then, you’ve got to consider a team that will likely be on the bubble in IU who just took down Rutgers.
The Big Ten will have some great opportunities to win their first National Championship since 2000 this season. If not this season, then when?
