Purdue Football: FanDuel Opening Odds – Purdue at Michigan

by

Barry Odom and the Boilermakers head north this weekend to take on the Michigan Wolverines. Folks, I wish I had better news for you, but your beloved Boilermakers might be in a bit of trouble.

Purdue comes into this game riding a 15-game conference losing streak. The Wolverines are 4-1 in conference play and feeling good after dispatching their in-state rivals from East Lansing last weekend. Meanwhile, the Boilermakers haven’t won a Big 10 road game since they knocked off Tom Allen’s Indiana Hoosiers on November 26th, 2022.

In terms of momentum and overall vibes, I’m going to have to give the edge to Michigan.

When you look past the vibes coming into this game, the first thing you notice is that Michigan is the better team in all aspects of football. If there were a shoe-tying contest at halftime, the Wolverines take it handily. Again, this goes in the negative column for the Boilermakers.

Interestingly enough, I’m not the only person to notice Purdue’s current struggles on the gridiron.

Current FanDuel Odds

Purdue

Spread: +21.5 (-114)

Money: +1100

Total: 49.5 (-105)

If you like the Boilermakers in this one, the friendly folks at FanDuel are going to give you a 3-touchdown (and the hook) head start. If you’re feeling extremely froggy, for reasons I don’t comprehend, the Purdue offense seems to come to life against better opponents.
