Rampage Jackson seems to have changed his stance on the whole ordeal surrounding his son Raja Jackson, as he admits Raja deserves punishment for brutally attacking Syko Stu.
Rampage Jackson took to his Instagram and uploaded a video of the whole incident, including Syko Stu hitting Raja with a beer can. Rampage admitted he wasn’t supposed to talk about it, but felt he needed to clear up some misinformation.
Jackson said Raja was allowed in the ring, despite what some people thought, and hoped that threats against his family would stop. He explained that the clip being shared online was edited and didn’t show the full story.
Jackson called his son a “POS” for what he did but said others also handled the situation poorly. Still, Raja is the one he feels most disappointed in. He stated that Syko Stu didn’t deserve what happened, and pointed out his own deep respect for the military and veterans. Jackson added that Raja didn’t know Stu was a veteran with PTSD, and said he hoped his son would have acted differently if he had known.
“Not justifying anything,I’m going against my attorney’s advice by talking about it,but people seems to think Raja wasn’t allowed in the ring. Hopefully the threats to my family members will stop after, this will be the last post about it. This video is still only an edited clip to stop some of the misinformation. Raja is still a POS for what he did,but he’s not the only person that handled things wrong. But Raja is the only one I’m disappointed in this situation. Psycho Stu didn’t deserve the what happened to him. Everybody that knows me know how much love and respect i have for our military and our veterans. Raja had no idea who psycho Stu was or that he had PTSD i would hope that if my son knew that he would’ve handled it differently. I would’ve.”
Addressing racist comments, Jackson told people to view the incident simply as two men caught up in something stupid that could have been avoided. He said the most important thing is that a man was hurt, and now everyone, including Raja, should face the punishment they deserve, because no one is above the law.
“(This part is for the racist people only) you know who you are 😉 (I’m talking to ALL different races). Look at this situation as two men getting themselves involved in something stupid that could’ve been avoided! At the end of the day a man was hurt let’s hope we can move on and learn from this and everyone gets the punishment that they deserve even my son. Nobody is above the law.”
This comes after Rampage Jackson actually blamed Syko Stu for the whole incident by hitting Raja Jackson with the beer can. So, Rampage Jackson’s comments show he is trying to be fair about the incident. He admits his son should be punished but also speaks out against the hate toward his family. Since California authorities are still investigating, we’ll have to see whether Raja Jackson will be brought to justice.
Do you think Rampage Jackson’s new statement shows genuine accountability, or is he still trying to soften the blame on Raja Jackson? Sound off in the comments.
