The multi-dream team honoree, all-conference and all-state honoree looks to bring leadership and dynamic playmaking abilities to the Cougars women’s basketball program, which is ran by current head coach John Williams.

“I was interested in Olivet as well, but I loved the (Spring Arbor) campus and I loved the coaches,” Ervans said. “Honestly, it was a better academic decision for me to go there as well.”

The lifelong basketball star was a multi-sport athlete during her time with the Rangers, including earning dream team and all-conference honors multiple years with the volleyball team and helping the Ranger softball team win four district titles during her time at Reading High School.

However, her memorable final season leading the Rangers to decade-first success on the basketball court solidified the impact she can bring to the Cougars at the next level starting this upcoming year.

Aubree Ervans will play women’s basketball for the Spring Arbor Cougars starting in the 2025-26 season.

Ervans completed a series of milestones her final season with the Rangers.

Ervans is a three-time all-state honoree after earning second team Division 4 all-state from the Michigan Sports Writers panel for her efforts this season. Ervans led the Reading Rangers girls basketball team to the program’s first district title since 2013. She led the team to an appearance in the Pat Patterson Pool A title game, where she earned her fourth all-tourney honor of her career. The team finished with 15 wins, including district 120 title win over the then-undefeated top five ranked Pittsford Wildcats.

The senior had four 20-plus point games this season, including a career high of 31 points against Union City. Along with all-state, she earned her fourth Big 8 first team all-league honor of her career, while finishing with 1,200 career points, top five in school history. The senior averaged 14.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and two steals a game. She shot 44-percent from the floor and 83-percent from the free throw line. She had an in-game streak of 23 consecutive free throws.

The dynamic scorer is looking to study exercise science at Spring Arbor with the hopes of becoming a physical therapist. The Class of 2025 Ranger was grateful for the support of her parents and younger brothers. Ervans is just one of several key Rangers who were a part of the championship basketball team this past winter who will be missed by the coaching staff and underclassmen players.
