Marking six years since the release of her acclaimed film ‘Dear Comrade‘, actress Rashmika Mandanna took a trip down memory lane by sharing an emotional note and a set of behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram. The film, which hit theatres on July 26, 2019, starred Vijay Deverakonda alongside Rashmika, and was released in Telugu with dubbed versions in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

The journey from script to cricket field
In Dear Comrade, Rashmika played Lily, an ambitious and determined state-level cricketer—a role that demanded serious preparation. Despite having no prior cricket experience, the actress took on the challenge with complete dedication. She underwent four months of cricket training to bring authenticity to the role.
Reflecting on the experience, Rashmika had earlier shared how the journey taught her the significance of mental strength in sports. Her respect for women cricketers, she admitted, grew immensely during this period.
