Florida redshirt freshman offensive lineman Marcus Mascoll announced his intention to enter the transfer portal on Wednesday, Dec. 17.
A former four-star recruit, Mascoll joined the Gators as a member of the 2024 class. He did not see action in his two years at Florida, redshirting as a true freshman. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

“That’s my guy,” center Jake Slaughter said of Mascoll. “I love this because I’m getting to brag on my guys, but Marcus is awesome. He’s a really smart kid. It’s one of those things where as soon as he gets the confidence, he gets the reps, he knows he can get it out quick, make his ID, make his call and get set, snap the ball and roll, he’s gonna be super special.”
Mascoll won’t be special at Florida, however. He’ll have to do it somewhere else, despite several starting jobs opening on the Gators’ offensive line. At 6-foot-4.75-inches and 308 pounds, Mascoll has Power Four size. On3 gives him a three-star grade — No. 266 nationally and No. 17 among offensive tackles — in the transfer portal.
Florida returns Knijeah Harris, Caden Jones, Roderick Kearney and Bryce Lovett on the offensive line. Noel Portnjagin, Fletcher Westphal and Jason Zandamela are other options, as well as a number of incoming freshmen and rising redshirt freshmen. Still, Florida is expected to seek additions in the transfer portal.
