What is the Daily Chess Championship?
The Daily Chess Championship is one of Chess.com’s most popular events. In the last three years, more than a combined 120,000 players have joined the fun, including countless titled players, making it one of the most accessible and fun chess tournaments in the world. With the opening database and an analysis board at your disposal, daily chess allows for much deeper play than regular games, allowing you to sharpen your skills while showcasing your tactics and calculation.
Format
- Daily time control (one day per move).
- Participants play 22 games at once in 12-player sections (one as Black, one as White per opponent).
- Only the section winner(s) advance to the next round.
- It’s expected that the tournament will go on for the majority of 2026, ending late in the year or early in 2027.
- Fair play analysis will take place, with all section winners subject to careful review.
