Jannik Sinner has done great things this season, as was expected. The Italian tennis player crowned his season with a victory at the ATP Finals against Carlos Alcaraz and seems to be on track to be a dominant figure in the sport next year.
Throughout his career, Jannik Sinner has always strived to make good decisions that could help him in the long run. The decision to partner with coach Darren Cahill turned out to be the right move.
Rennae Stubbs and Caitlin Thompson analyzed Sinner's decision and recalled Cahill's decisions as a coach, when he chose to train Andre Agassi over Marat Safin for money.
"You've told the funniest story about how Darren's wife desperately wanted him to coach Marot Saffin," Caitlin Thompson said on 'The Rennae Stubbs podcast'
"Oh, it's so funny," Rennae Stubbs replied.
"And instead he chose Andre Agassi for money reasons," Thompson said.
"Financially, it was a very good decision to go with Andre," Rennae Stubbs said.
Cahill's coaching career
Darren Cahill has had the opportunity to collaborate with sports greats such as Hewitt, Agassi, helping them achieve success they could only dream of.
It is not known how long the collaboration between the Italian tennis player and Cahill will last, but looking back on this season there is no doubt that Jannik will want to continue his collaboration with Cahill next year. The Italian tennis player is aware that it is important to keep the same team together if things go well.
Darren Cahill stressed that he enjoys working with the Italian, but he still does not know how long the collaboration will last, emphasizing that his future is in the hands of Jannik.
Sinner will carefully analyze his season and set clear goals for next season, and whether Cahill will be part of his plans remains to be seen.
