It would be easy to A’s all around in this report card after the Oregon Ducks thumped Oklahoma State 69-3. Nearly everything went perfectly on both sides of the ball for the Ducks as they rushed for over 300 yards, passed for over 300 yards, and got a pair of defensive touchdowns in the domination.
The offense was running on all cylinders, and the defense was as good as ever, allowing just a field goal to the visiting opponents from the Big 12. It was one of the more dominating performances in recent memory, with Oregon going up 69-3 before the end of the third quarter, and coasting to a finish.

While it was a fun game to watch and probably even more fun to play in, there are always some knit-picks here and there one can find. But with a game like this, that might be a bit difficult to do, as the Ducks had over 300 yards in the air and on the ground.
Quarterbacks
Oregon quarterback Dante Moore carries the ball as the Oregon Ducks host the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Sept. 6, 2025, at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon.
Grade: A
It’s hard to imagine Dante Moore being any better than this. He was 16-of-21 passing for 266 yards and three touchdowns. He made all of the appropriate reads and had a good grasp of the offense. In short, Moore was great in Week 2.

Grade: A
We should have known it was going to be a long day for the Cowboys when Noah Whittington took the second play of the game 59 yards for a touchdown. He ended up with 91 yards in just four carries. Oregon had 11 different players carry the ball for a total of 312 yards and five scores.

Grade: A
If this is what the Ducks’ receivers are going to be like this season, it’s going to be a fun one in Eugene. Dakorian Moore showed why he was a five-star recruit with his big 65-yard touchdown on the third play of the game. Jeremiah McClellan led the way with 76 yards as he was one of 10 Ducks to have at least one catch.
Offensive Line
Oregon offensive linemen Iapani Laloulu, left, and Emmanuel Pregnon line up as the Oregon Ducks host the Montana State Bobcats on Aug. 30, 2025, at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon.
Grade: A
Oregon’s offensive line wasn’t exactly tested a whole lot. They dominated the Oklahoma State defense and the Cowboys really didn’t get a hand on Dante Moore, and the running lanes were huge.
Defensive Line
Oregon defensive lineman A’Mauri Washington, left, brings down Montana State running back Adam Jones as the Oregon Ducks host the Montana State Bobcats on Aug. 30, 2025, at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon.
Grade: A
Oklahoma State’s offense was stifled for most of the day and that was largely because of the Oregon defensive line’s pressure in the backfield. The Cowboys had just 144 yards on 42 carries. The Ducks allowed just 67 yards in the air and sacked quarterback Zane Flores twice.

Grade: A
Thirty different Ducks had at least one tackle, led by Bryce Boettcher’s nine tackles. Jerry Mixon’s Pick-6 in the third quarter was the highlight of the game for the group.
Secondary
Oregon defensive back Peyton Woodyard, right, brings down Oklahoma State running back Rodney Fields Jr. as the Oregon Ducks host the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Sept. 6, 2025, at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon.
Grade: A
Oregon was convinced the Cowboys would test the secondary with shots down the field and that never really materialized. Oregon thought they were going to be tested down the field multiple times in this game, and while that didn’t come to fruition, they did handle the passes that did come their way. Peyton Woodyard’s Pick-6 was the big highlight for the group.
Special Teams
Oregon Ducks place kicker Atticus Sappington lines up a kick during the first half in the annual rivalry game against the Oregon State Beavers on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024 at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, Ore.
Grade: B
Field goal kicking wasn’t exactly a priority on this day. Atticus Sappington and Gage Hurych were perfect in their extra points and Gary Bryant’s eight fair catches on punts were an interesting sight. Sappington did miss his one field goal attempt, which was from 57 yards.
