The Big Ten quarterback carousel is going to get interesting in a hurry as next season approaches. One quarterback that jumps off the page who reportedly intends to enter the portal is Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback Dylan Raiola.

Despite two seasons in Lincoln with this year being cut short due to injury, the Matt Rhule-Raiola relationship apparently didn’t last, as On3 was the first to report the sudden change.
Raiola has not formally announced his intent to transfer at press time, but other teams are reportedly interested including a rival Big Ten school in the Oregon Ducks.
“Sources have mentioned Oregon as an early school of interest for Dylan Raiola and his camp,” CBS Sports’ Chris Hummer tweeted.
Hummer later followed up with an interesting nugget, quickly tying together potentially a massive development for Ducks coach Dan Lanning should it come to fruition.

Enter Dante Moore as a wrench into the Raiola sweepstakes.
“Dante Moore could still return to Oregon next season. But there’s been a growing belief within the industry that Moore will end up turning pro,” Hummer added.
Cornhuskers pledge Trae Taylor (Class of 2027) took the high road upon learning of Raiola’s reported decision to depart Nebraska. Taylor reassured his followers, though, that he still intends on fulfilling his Huskers commitment upon graduation.
“Part of why I’m a Husker is because of Dylan,” Taylor wrote. “Gave me a ton of great advice during my recruitment. Gave his all to the program while he was at Nebraska. Like his game play or not we should all respect his efforts and him. That being said I’m proud to be a Husker N vs Everybody.”

It remains unclear what might happen next, but what seems obvious is the fact that Nebraska will have to be in search of a new quarterback for at least the time being until things settle down themselves.
For the time being, though, one of the first big dominoes to potentially fall is going to come from the Big Ten as the postseason is still just days away and next year still feels too far out.
But, in any event, that’s the nature of the business and things are only going to intensify as the days and weeks go on.
The story is certainly far from over
