Rey Mysterio Confirms Return for AAA Guerra de Titanes

by

Rey Mysterio just gave fans a reason to watch AAA Guerra de Titanes—he’s going to be there live on December 20th at Arena Guadalajara.

During Heroes Immortales, Mysterio sent in a video announcing the date and location for AAA’s year-end show and confirmed that he will appear. He didn’t specify whether he’ll be wrestling, but the confirmation adds new momentum to rumors surrounding his in-ring return.

The WWE Hall of Famer has been out of action since earlier this year, following a groin tear that forced him to miss WrestleMania 41. He was originally scheduled to face El Grande Americano, but the injury led to Rey Fenix stepping in at the last minute. Mysterio also underwent surgery to repair a long-standing ear injury during his recovery.

A previously reported, Mysterio was recently seen at the WWE Performance Center in early October for the final phase of his rehab. The visit is considered a key step toward receiving medical clearance from WWE doctors.

Mysterio’s connection to AAA has grown since WWE purchased the promotion in April. He narrated the cold open for Heroes Immortales and has remained involved with AAA’s media content. His confirmation for Guerra de Titanes could simply be another brand-supporting role—or it might signal a bigger return strategy across both companies.

Rey Mysterio doesn’t make public appearances without purpose. Whether this leads to a WWE comeback or something else entirely remains to be seen.
