Ricochet Addresses Samantha Irvin Joining AEW as His Manager

by

Samantha Irvin may be under a WWE non-compete until 2026, but Ricochet just dropped the clearest sign yet that her return to wrestling—this time by his side—is only a matter of time.

Speaking to Adrian Hernandez on February 5, 2026, the AEW National Champion opened up about the real-life possibility of his wife becoming his on-screen manager. According to Ricochet, the chemistry they share is undeniable—and he believes that when the moment comes, it’ll be something fans won’t forget.

“Any ideas about it finally happening? Yeah, I think so too—it’s inevitable. Wrestlers are always talking wrestling, always talking potential this, potential that. But yeah, nothing’s set in stone. Everything’s kind of in the air, but I think it will eventually happen. Maybe historic is the word.”

Ricochet went on to explain why Samantha Irvin—who has a background in acting and live performance—would thrive in a managerial role, particularly as a heel character.

“She and I have chemistry together. I think whether it’s good or bad, we’ll be able to get reactions out of people. We’ve already proven we can get reactions out of people off of little to nothing. A heel Samantha on camera—she’s been an actress her whole life. She’s been in plays. So getting into a character is nothing new for her. It’s going to be like riding a bike.”

Ricochet also made it clear this isn’t just a hypothetical daydream—it’s something he’s personally looking forward to making happen.

“I’m excited to see it, and excited for the world to see it too. Who knows if that’s going to be this year, next year, or whenever. But yeah, I’m just excited to create—especially with someone like her. Literally from the moment she wakes up, she’s thinking about something and wants to create something.”

This update comes just weeks after Irvin herself confirmed on social media that she plans to return to wrestling—but not as a ring announcer. Instead, she’s set her sights on managing talent, and many are already pushing for her to link up with Ricochet for what Irvin described as a “historic” run.

For now, it’s a waiting game, with Irvin still under a WWE non-compete clause through October 2026. But if Ricochet is right, her AEW debut could be less of an “if” and more of a “when.”
