Former San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator and newly named Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh needs to fill out his coaching staff.
According to NBC Sportsโ Matt Maiocco, Saleh is taking the 49ersโ assistant defensive line coach, Greg Scruggs, to be the new Titans defensive line coach.

Scruggs played under Saleh with the Seattle Seahawks and was with Saleh in New York for a season with the Jets before spending this past season with Saleh in San Francisco.
Scruggs might not be the last position coach Saleh poaches from the 49ers. The move means whoever the new defensive coordinator is may have to bring in an external candidate. Depending on how many coaches Saleh takes, those position coaches could be from multiple teams.
If that coordinator ends up being Gus Bradley, who Kyle Shanahan believes to be the โobvious in-house candidate,โ then Bradley will have a large pool of candidates to select from, as heโs spent time with Seattle, Jacksonville, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Indianapolis as a coordinator or head coach in the NFL.
