Ring of Honor fans ran into major streaming problems during Death Before Dishonor, with viewers reporting they couldn’t access the show using Chrome or Firefox browsers.
ROH issued a statement addressing the situation during the event, pointing to their third-party streaming provider as the cause of the technical headache.
“We are aware that there is an issue with viewing on the browsers CHROME + FIREFOX,” the company said. “Our service provider Brightcove is working on a solution now.”
While fans on those platforms were locked out of the action, ROH did offer a workaround for anyone trying to watch in real time. “You can view on Safari + the ROH App, without service disruption,” the statement added. “We apologize for any inconvenience.”
The issue left many fans frustrated, especially given that Death Before Dishonor featured major title matches, including Shane Taylor Promotions winning the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Titles. Technical failures during a show of this magnitude can hurt viewer trust, and now all eyes are on Brightcove to provide a fix.
