One of the most anticipated games on the annual college football calendar, the 2025 Iron Bowl has officially arrived.
A rivalry which dates back to the late 1800’s, Alabama and Auburn have played countless matchups over the years, producing numerous memorable moments along the way.

This season, Alabama will be looking for their sixth consecutive Iron Bowl win over Auburn in as many years, as well as their third-straight in Jordan-Hare Stadium. The Crimson Tide will also be looking to clinch a berth in the SEC’s championship game next weekend, while Auburn will need a win to qualify for a bowl game.
In what is certain to be one of the top matchups in college football, following are Roll Tide Wire’s staff predictions for the Iron Bowl on Saturday night in Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Matt Melton’s prediction: Alabama Crimson Tide 30, Auburn Tigers 24
After going back-and-forth on the outcome of this game all week, I have settled on Alabama winning by essentially a touchdown.

Auburn will likely give Alabama their best shot Saturday night at home, and despite the Tigers 5-6 record, are a very dangerous team who are certainly capable of pulling the upset. However, I think Alabama ultimately wins following a fourth quarter touchdown late in the game, and for the Crimson Tide to advance to next week’s SEC title game.
Steve Holley’s prediction: Alabama Crimson Tide 26, Auburn Tigers 20
I cannot talk myself into believing in a two-score Alabama win. I’ve seen too many of these games at Jordan-Hare Stadium to think otherwise. Auburn’s defense, especially up front, has played well this season, and it’s not like the Tigers’ 5-6 record is a result of them losing games by 2012 season scores.
Alabama’s offense has largely struggled since the win over Tennessee. Ty Simpson has just been off lately. I still think he puts together a couple of nice drives that make the difference in the game. If Alabama establishes any microcosm of a running game, just go with the hot hand. Do NOT let this game come down to kicking.

Rob King’s prediction: Alabama Crimson Tide 24, Auburn Tigers 18
Alabama plays ball control offense, and Ty Simpson throws two touchdown passes. Germie Bernard has over 100 yards receiving on roughly seven catches and a touchdown. Auburn’s woes in the running game continue. Auburn misses a field goal. Not a pretty win at Jordan Hare against a talented Auburn team that Alabama doesn’t matchup well with.
Jake Boico’s prediction: Alabama Crimson Tide 27, Auburn 24
I believe Alabama’s matchup with Auburn will be an extremely physical battle throughout all four quarters of the highly anticipated contest. The Tide will look to secure their spot in the College Football Playoff, and I think Alabama will ultimately leave Jordan-Hare Stadium with a 27-24 victory over the Auburn Tigers despite both teams competing at a very high level.
