A long discussed fight that most thought had been relegated to a fantasy matchup will come to fruition this spring.
And it won’t be the UFC carrying the torch. Jake Paul’s MVP Promotions has booked former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey for a superfight against women’s MMA pioneer Gina Carano. MVP announced the matchup Tuesday.

A kickoff news conference for the fight is set for March 5 at Intuit Dome, the day tickets go on sale. A presale tickets site has been set up at RouseyCarano.com.
