Rutgers Lands 2026 OL Ian Asaeli Ngaue-Stephenson

by

Rutgers has made a late addition to its 2026 recruitment class as it has landed OL Ian Asaeli Ngaue-Stephenson out of Mesa High School in Mesa, Arizona.

The 6-foot-3, 310-pound Ngaue-Stephenson is currently unrated by 247sports, ESPN, and Rivals/On3. He is the fifth offensive lineman the Scarlet Knights have picked up in this class, joining  Jared Smith, Donovan Johnson, Logan Anthony, and Tyler Duell.

Ngaue-Stephenson is the son of former Rutgers offensive guard Cameron Ngaue- Stephenson, who was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL draft.

Ngaue-Stephenson met with new offensive line coach Jim Turner earlier in the week. He took an official visit to campus following that meeting, committing to Rutgers shortly after that visit.

Not much is known about Ngaue-Stephenson; however, his commitment shows how much of a recruiting asset Turner has been early on in his Rutgers tenure. In addition to recruiting Ngaue-Stephenson, Turner has met with several linemen in their homes, trying to sway them to come to Rutgers.

Southern Mississippi was the only other confirmed school recruiting Ngaue-Stephenson, however, it is known that other schools were keeping tabs on him.

In addition to football, Ngaue-Stephenson is a wrestler for Mesa.
