Ryan Sieg made a block on Leland Honeyman, and it was one block too many. He came across the front of the 70. Then a bunch of cars were wrecking.
A win would have been massive for Sieg. Now, his night is more or less over. While this one will sting, it shows he still has speed to compete up front in these races.
During his career, Ryan Sieg has had so many heartbreaking moments. Just when he’s having the race of his life, he ends up wrecked or losing out by mere inches. Tonight, Sieg led the most laps with 19. It just wasn’t mean to be in the end.
Five drivers led double-digit laps tonight. Following Sieg’s wreck, Parker Kligerman drove the 88 to the win. Kligerman did most of the driving, but Connor Zilisch will be credited with the victory in the record books.

What a race! Parker Kligerman gets the job done in his substitute start. He wins at Daytona in place of Connor Zilisch. The two drivers switched places at the first caution. Kligerman got the job done in NASCAR overtime in the Xfinity Series.
So, Parker Kligerman has now technically won two races at Daytona this season. Neither win will be official for Kligerman in the end.
Connor Zilisch keeps his top-five streak alive and picks up a heap of points. He also adds another win to his total this season. He didn’t even have to finish the race.
While Parker Kligerman only led 12 laps, he was great all night. It was clear that when he was comfortable, he was going to have a chance in the 88 car. JR Motorsports has great equipment. The driver still has to get the job done, though.
So, the 88 team has now won eight times. Seven of those wins will be attributed to Zilisch. Six of those wins were won by Zilisch himself, crossing the finish line. It has been quite the run for the 19-year-old rookie.
